The life course of Bahaettin Rahmi Bediz

1875: Born in Istanbul
1887: Finished the Chania Primary School in Crete
1889: Finished the Semsu’l Maarif Constantinople junior high school
1895: He got his certificate of studies from the Constantinople Galatasaray Senior High School one year earlier
1896: He was a people’s representative during the time Crete was separating itself from the Ottoman Empire
1896-1909: He became a famous photographer and merchant in Heraklion
1910-1926: He did artistic photography and imported different types of photography in Constantinople. He participated in the Parliament
1927-1936: He continued practicing photography in Smyrna. He took pictures of its museums. He participated in the region’s archaeological excavations
1936-1937: He worked as a supervisor in Ulus Publishing House in Ankara
1937 – November 1946:Worked as a manager of the photographic studio of the Turkish Historical Institute in Ankara. Read more
